Estate Red is a wonderful blend of Petit Verdot and Merlot. It presents with a soft bouquet of cherries and tobacco leaf that encompass a core of dark blackberry, and plum that finishes with a sweet mocha finish. The wine is perfectly balanced with soft and supple fruit flavors the result of a short time on the skins before being gently pressed off in November of 2018 as it aged for 9 months in Neutral Oak barrels undergoing only three rackings in that time (one rack after ML, one for blending and one into tank to bottle). This wine was put together with an eye to respecting the beautiful fruit structure of Merlot and the edginess and lushness of Petit Verdot. Perfect for burgers, BBQ and grilled steaks.
